I Can't Breathe
My DS/20 has joined the ARMY and leaves for Basic Combat Training on Monday. It was a shock to us, since he hasn't mentioned doing it for several years, and now, he's in for over 4 years. I catch myself not breathing. I think it's called Stress! I am proud of him, though. He will be at Basic for 9 weeks, plus 6 1/2 weeks of AIT , so we won't see him again until right before Christmas. Then he'll go to Airborne training and Ranger training. I have been, and will be, doing a lot of praying.

Oh, that is stressful indeed! Hang in there - he's doing a good thing! btw, what a cutie!
And we will be praying for him right along side you! Thank him for us, when you see him. Without brave men like him, we would not be free today!
How I understand your Mama heart wrenching at having your ds begin Army training. We will be praying for him along with you!!
My 1st SGT husband was in Desert Storm, I totally know the stress you are feeling. My heart still swells with pride as we see and hear about young people starting a career in the military at such a hard time. But my heart goes out to their loved ones. Be brave for him and just reassure him of your pride and your love for him. Like Claudia said, "Thank him for us!" We are truly proud of him. Our prayers will be with you and your family as your son starts down a difficult road. God Bless!

I'll be praying for him and for you and your family! Tell him thanks for us.
I understand how you feel, my DS is in the ROTC AirForce right now, and is dying for Special Ops training. He goes to boot camp this summer with a side order of Survival Training.
